Hamilton police are asking the public for help in finding a sexual assault suspect.The assault happened near McMaster University at around 11:30 Thursday night. A woman in her 20’s was walking westbound on Sussex Street near Emerson Drive when a man grabbed her from behind and sexually assaulted her. Two witnesses heard her scream and chased the suspect as he fled west on Sussex, then South on Emerson. The victim suffered minor injuries.The suspect is described as an Asian man, in his late teens to early 20’s, about 5′ 6″ to 5′ 10″, clean shaven, with shaggy black hair and black framed glasses. He was wearing a white polo shirt with red stripes and light beige cargo pants. Anyone with any info is asked to call police.
A FERRY DELIVERY of water to Inis Meáin is due later today as two of the three Aran Islands suffer drinking water shortages due to depleted reserves.In a statement to TheJournal.ie, Irish Water said that they and Galway County Council are organising a water supply delivery to Inis Meáin to replenish the water reserves.The first delivery, of around 120 cubic metres of water (120,000 litres), is planned for later today, at least two runs a day will continue “as necessary” until the shortage has been alleviated.Meanwhile, water restrictions have been introduced for Inis Oírr and will remain in place “until further notice”. There are sufficient resources in the island’s reservoir at this time, according to Irish Water and Galway County Council, but plans are underway to replenish reserves at the water source on the island “over the coming weeks”.Irish Water says that there are no issues with the water supply on Inis Mór.
